This is a community project aimed at helping people gain the tools they need to better their communities! We just had a very polarizing election in the US and a lot of people are looking for concrete ways to make a positive impact, learn more, and take care of themselves during these tough times. We want to provide some of those tools.
In our Get Involved tab is where we will be posting resources for getting involved in our communities at local, national, and sometimes international levels.
Not all of them will be applicable for every person. Some will demand people’s time, some may need financial donations. Some may be restricted to certain geographic areas. Jut remember: from each according to their ability, to each according to their need.
We may post issues you may not feel particularly educated about yet. We don’t want this to limit you from getting involved or participating. We will try to always include materials in the Get Educated section so that people who want to, may also educate themselves about issues before they get involved.
In our Downloadable section, we will be adding more and more resources and tools to help learn more about issues, organize in your community, know your rights, and help others to do the same.
We plan on putting a wide range of tools up, for everyone from kids who may still need help accessing resources to senior citizens who may have been involved in many movements before but may feel out of the loop on current events or current technology.
We also would love to have resources available in multiple languages, so if that sounds like something you might be able to help with, contact us at email@example.com
Lastly, our Self Care section will have information about how to keep up our drive without getting burnt out, finding focus and prioritizing, building confidence, talking and working with people in the movements we care about even when we maybe have social anxiety, and lots more! Our goal is that with these tools, people who share some of the same views and some different views will be able to work together and exchange ideas as they create positive change. This is the way we can begin to heal and strengthen our communities 🙂
